Hey! Sparkle Scissors here! This is one of my favorite Christmas crafts to do. It's super simple, but SO cute! Hope you enjoy it!
Step 2: Pull the other end of the yarn through the hole in the center and wrap around.
Step 4: And going.
Step 5: Once your yarn is wrapped all the way around the circle, tie it off in what you determine to be the back by placing the end through one of the wrapped strands of yarn and tying a knot.
Step 7: Once you are satisfied with your decorations, cut another piece of yarn that is about 4 inches and thread it through a strand of wrapped yarn on the top. Tie a triple knot and cut off the excess. This will be the loop to hang it on the tree with.
Step 8: You can add some color by wrapping some ribbon around it the same way you wrapped the yarn:
Yay for you, you are finished!! Now you can hang your LOVERLY new ornament on the tree!
This looks so cute on our tree! I love my cute little talented girls. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Love how the red and white striped one looks like a peppermint candy.
ReplyDeleteFun! I have this all this stuff hanging around too! I think we'll put it to good use with these decorations. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and they looked nice. When I was little (many years ago...) My grandma used to make these huge, awesome, homemade pom pom's that would go on our ice skates or roller skates. I can't remember how she made them but I know it was similar to this and then you would cut the ends of the yarn and fluff it out. Any idea how to make them? I would love to make some for my daughter's roller blades.
